Le Cage

Le Cage - a passion for business, coffee, fashion and people - is the driving force behind Norma's dream come true. We feel empowering women to participate fully across all sectors is essential to building a stronger economy, as women are regaining their voice, and standing in unity to bring about change in the world. This little shop uplifts women of different ages & cultures, as there are a lot of women out there who have the ability to provide the most stunning clothing, artwork and so much more, while not being financially able, or with access to the resources and the necessary know-how, to promote themselves.

Strassbergers Shoe Factory

The shoe factory has been in existence since 1954. It was a natural outgrowth of the Wupperthal shoe factory that was established by the Rhenish missionaries about 1834. Tourists can walk through the factory, purchase `veldskoene`, or shoes can also be custom made and dispatched at a later date.

Travellers Rest Farm Stall & Restaurant

Travellers Rest Farm Stall & Restaurant is beautifully situated on the banks of the Brandewyn river, built of local stone like the rest of the buildings on the farm. Here Haffie Strauss serves mouthwatering traditional fare like mutton stew, waterblommetjiebredie, roosterkoek and other delicious South African favourites. The ambience is relaxed and colourful and the interior has been decorated with excellent reproductions of some of the rock art on the farm, painted by artist Sarah Mackie.
