From where the perception amongst flower viewers that only fields and fields of orange daisies qualify as “flowers”? What about the yellow pêrdebos (Didelta spinosa), Clanwilliam Daisies and skilpadbessies (Nylandtia spinosa) which are all in full flower at the moment on the shady side of hills? Don’t they count as flowers too?

Just to remind everyone that the popular Clanwilliam Wild Flower Show will open on Thursday 27th August 2009 and continue until Sunday 2nd September. As usual it will be held at the Flower Church in the Main Road of Clanwilliam which is only 2.5 hours from Cape Town.
